| | GDT Wings @ Avalanche, 11/20 7:00pm « Thread Started on Jan 19, 2007, 10:16pm » | |
Start Time: 9:00pm MST (7:00pm local) Local TV: FSD (HD), ALT (HD)(Denver) National TV: HD NET
Detroit Red Wings Record: 30-13-5 (4th in conference) Road: 13-10-2 vs Northwest: 7-3-3 Last 10: 6-4-0 PP Rank: T-18th (17.1%) - 42PPG, 5SHGA PK Rank: T-16th (82.1%) - 8SHG, 46PPGA
The Wings will look to rebound from one of their worst efforts in recent memory tonight in Colorado. The Wings failed to score at least 2 goals for the first time since November 17, a span encompassing 30 games.
Colorado Avalanche Record: 23-20-3 (10th in conference) Home: 12-10-2 vs Central: 5-7-1 Last 10: 5-4-1 PP Rank: 6th (19.4%) - 44PPG, 6SHGA PK Rank: 25th (79.3%) - 3SHG, 45PPGA
The Avs find themselves in unfamiliar territory, last in the Northwest division. However, being in the tighest division in the NHL means that they are only 7 points out of the division lead. The Avs will look to continue a climb towards a playoff position by reversing their recent trends against their one-time arch-rival Red Wings. The Avs have lost 7 straight and 13 of the last 16 in the series. Not even home cooking has been a safe haven against the Wings, seeing them lose 5 straight and 11 of the last 12 in the Pepsi Center.

Carpe Diem!! Quote:| Single worst trade in the History of the NHL.. Some day im gonna have to explain to my kids as to why the Wings would trade away a future allstar like Jason Williams for a rental. The Forsberg and Thornton trades look like an even swap compared to this disaster. |

Is there something wrong with Theodore?
Aside from the mob connections, cheating on his wife, etc. etc.

He's garbage, the Avs thought they could pull another Roy our of Montreal in Theodore but he never panned out. Budaj has been the better goalie since Theodore got traded there.

Theodore's contract is an albatross. No wonder Lacroix jumped out of the GM spot and left someone else there to take the heat.
Wings are playing ok, that goal was a bit of a fluke off of a breakdown.
Never really liked Laperierre (sp?)

Nice hit on Svatos by Kronwall.
Goddam the Wings look disorganized since that goal.

MacDonald is awful at hanging onto rebounds, he can't even seem to catch the puck let alone cover it up.
He needs to get some rebound control quick.

Yeah. Forgot it was McDonald.
That explains a lot. Also shows what Dom ends up meaning to this team.

Man, another fluke injury strikes Kronwall. Hopefully it's nothing serious, but if he's going to the hospital...
