Single worst trade in the History of the NHL.. Some day im gonna have to explain to my kids as to why the Wings would trade away a future allstar like Jason Williams for a rental. The Forsberg and Thornton trades look like an even swap compared to this disaster.

It's not gameday, but I just love that giveaway stat! it's almost as good as showing Lang a video of his giveaways. Too bad Pavel is there, but it's ok, he tries to make things happen, unlike Lang who just floats. Detroit should try to play a few outdoor games. If he's lucky, Lang would have to skate, pushed by strong winds. I bet he would love that! Too late now won't be here next year.

According to www.whowins.com, teams in the Wings' current situation (ie. at home for the first two games), NHL teams that go up 1-0 have won the series 76.8% of the time.

I think kopecky will get back the spot he had this season: fourth line banger. He might work his way up, but I think there will be an impressively deep group in front of him.
And, I have to admit, that if another forward is suddenly needed during these playoffs, and Kopecky is cleared to play, I'd be tempted to rather see him out there for 5-10 minutes than Ellis/Langfeld.

will take us needing 2 forwards. Pretty soon a pretty good player is going to get scratched. Whoever it ends up being. Honestly we might be better off with langfeld or ellis when weighed against a rookie who hasnt played in like 4 months. Its one thing to bring a guy liek bertuzzi back after a long injury, but itd be asking alot to expect kopecky to step up under teh given circumstances. Langfeld might be more prepared. Next year? i easily see kopecky taking malts role.
