Well I'm fine with this, I would rather see a team in Kansas City than Hamilton anyway.

If you go over to Kuklaskorner.com web site it has 1-2 more articles. Basically says the new guy would wait till there lease is up in Nashville, then move to Kansas. Thing is nothing said when the lease is up. For us it would not matter, it would mean nothing. Kansas would still be in our division. It matters as soon as an Eastern conference team relocates and moves west of us. Hamilton Predators mean we're far on the backburner in terms of going to the Eastern conference, we need at least 2 teams to move west. Kansas City Predators and we're still at the top of the list.

The Red Wings will NEVER move east as long as Bettman has his job. Don't know who believes we're at 'the top of the list' to move to the east. Hogwash. Gary needs the wings to prop up the western teams, and having us show up in those arenas once every other (or every third) year would kill the attendance west of St. Louis. Until the owners actually grow some reasonably sized balls and boot Gary, the NHL will continue to be a bush league.

That state definitly could support another team. Right! You could build a second arena in the same parking lot as the ACC and it would sell out every game. But, all this US expansion has led to the best TV contract in the history of the NHL.

Sarcasm aside..... Kansas City is an awesome sports town, some of the most dedicated fans in the country. And they aren't really sport-specific like they are in a majority of cities. Fans in KC are 'KC-proud' and I believe a team in KC would do well. I live in Wichita right now, aviation capital of the world. There are a TON of Canadians here (probably upwards of 15,000) that work in the aviation industry. Lots and lots of them drive up to ten hours to see NHL games in Denver and Dallas. If there were a team in KC, 2 hours away, these guys would go to a ton of games.
Of course a team would do well in Hamilton, but that team would not do anything to promote hockey or expand the NHL product or fanbase. If a team can succeed in KC, which I believe can, it will be more beneficial as it will do what a Hamilton team cannot. Also keep in mind that KC is building the MCI Center, which is an amazing facility. Residents are just dying for a pro team to move in there.

Well, I'm happy Balsillie got cut out of the loop. I thought the way he was going about this from the start was wrong and ugly. I'd still rather see a local ownership group step up but if this new guy is serious about living up to the lease and will manage the team in good faith (he won't gut it to try to drive attendance down), then I'm fine with it. I thought a big problem with the Preds was Leipold, so it'll be interesting to see if the local businesses can be brought on board to support a new guy.

They will be moved from Nashville, but this will be done with the help of the NHL. Bettman will announce the move himself and declare the market in KC a strong NHL market and then thank the fans in Nashville.

It is not even that. Quit trying to be something you are not. Like Vanilla Ice trying to convince everyone that he was "street" and a bad ass. Whereas the Beastie Boys are who they are, and are more popular because of it.
They just need to identify what the product is and who is interested in it. For example, I would never go to McDonalds because I want a sandwich.
