-- Zetterberg skated, but won't travel to Chicago. The Saturday game at home is possible for a return, but it's sounding less likely. -- Schneider's fine and ready to go Thursday. He said that he could have played Tuesday, but the day of rest did wonders. -- Cory Emmerton signed a three-year entry-level contract today. He practiced with the team at an optional practice that included about 10 players. Emmerton was in town to sign his contract and was at Tuesday's game with his father. From here, Emmerton goes to Grand Rapids to practice/play for the Griffins. -- Kyle Quincey is making the trip to Chicago and said that he was told that he's playing. That could mean another D gets a day of rest in the final week of the season.

Quincey seems to be making a good impression. Would you say that's accurate, Bruce? Have the coaches said anything about his play? He's not likely to do much this year, but I'm looking at next year in his case.

I'd love to see him get moved in the off season for whatever.

Mainly, I want them to upgrade the 6 players in front of Lilja, so he doesn't have to play much. If they were to dump him and use one of the young guys in the 6/7 rotation, I wouldn't mind. Meech and Quincey would both be candidates IMO.

^^^ good questions Gus. Hank - I will repeat myself. I don't see hank playing in the 1st round unless it becomes desperate. Let him sit the first game, if the Wings win, the second. If the Wings win, etc etc etc. the rollbacks of his return date tell part of the story. That he is not even doing start/stop drills tells the rest. Nothing big here, just a link that gives an overview on herniated discs > www.webmd.com/back-pain/tc/Herniated-Disc-Topic-Overview

If Z misses the entire first round we're not making it to round 2. Or well, lets just say it will be very, very, very hard to make it to round 2.
He'll play.
BTW what is it? Herniated disk? Or Inflamed disk? As recent as yesterday they said inflamed.

As I said before. This is turning into the Datsyuk incident last year. Any kind of disc problem is a big deal.

If zetterberg is out, we are in trouble. It looks like it will be calgary in the first round. The hardest team first of course. Them and the sharks are who the wings really have trouble with. Calgary is too physical for them. Put any pressure on the wings and screw up their puck control game and they fall apart.

Calgary hasn't been scaring anybody recently but the Wings have trouble with the Alberta teams.
However, as I gear up for the playff run, I will disagree on the 1st round and Hank. The Wings will win in the 1st round and they will do it w/o Hank.
