Tigers had a 3-0 lead but, lousy relief pitching and even lousier fielding quickly erased that lead and they lost to the Rangers 9-6. Tigers tried to get back in it with a 3 run 8th but, the Rangers got 3 in the 9th to go ahead for good, thanks to Magglio letting a ball get by him and go to the wall. That was mild compared to the gaff that Monroe made when the Rangers broke the game wide open. On a drive to left, Monroe misplayed it by leaping for it and it went off his glove and rolled to the wall. Then a bit later, another one went to the wall that Monroe had to chase down. That 9 game road trip must have really took it out of them cause they haven't looked good the last two games. Nate Robertson pitched a pretty good game and left in the 6th leaving a runner on which scored after Grilli came in. Byrdak then came in and allowed more runs. After the Tigers tied it in the 8th, Jones came in the 9th and pissed it away.

I can't believe they had this nice winning streak onthe road to pull 2 games up on Cleveland and they give both games right back by losing two in a row to the freakin RANGERS of all teams.
Their bullpen STINKS. If they don't address it I can't see them making the World Series again.

Robertson was OK. His last 3 innings the Rangers were hitting him hard, just right at the fielders. Hopefully he'll be better next time, because that was the problem before. First time through the lineup he's great, second time OK, third time he gets destroyed. He needs to regain his old form of that last couple seasons and start going 6-7 innings every start again.
