I wouldn't be opposed to Yashin. Does money matter to the guy and will he ditch us the year after if it gets him an extra buck? Yeah, but he's demonstrated the ability to put up points on a fairly consistant basis and this would be the best team he's been on since his Ottawa days. Plus, he's played wing before so maybe we could line him up next to Dats and see if they can form some kind of Russian connection. He's obviously not a first choice, but he could still be a decent signing. The more I look at it, the more I think Holland is gonna sign guys like Bertuzzi and Yashin. Guys who have primetime possibilities without the primetime salaries.

Yashin? No way, now how. The guy is got all the talent in the world but, he's a taker, not a giver.

I wouldn't mind Kozlov coming back. Funny, come Sunday Holland could be negotiating with both Hasek and Kozlov. Why, just 6 short years ago...

There's a risk to it, and he will certainly take a lot of heat when/if they are signed, but I seeing them pan out as the third or fourth options here in Detriot wouldn't surprise me a bit. if anything, it's an ideal situation for guys like them.
