Doesn't say what's coming the other way. More work to just free up space or is something useful coming back? And I think Maroth will do very well in NL. Weaker lineups will fit better against his stuff, where he can have an average inning or two and squeek by. link

I really like Maroth - definitely not a power pitcher but he has good stuff. Plus, he knows what it's like to compete. Rosenthal from foxsports.com says teams have him pegged as a number 5 guy (which I disagree with). I think he's a five with the Tigers rotation, but he would be a number three on many other teams.
Jim Rome has interviewed him a couple of times - really a good guy.
Probably some draft picks coming back...

Yeah, I'm a Maroth fan, too. Gutting out that 20 loss season, I don't remember him ever shirking an interview or acting like a jerk, which would have been understandable with getting tagged with 20 losses on a miserable team. I really wish the Tigers could have won it last year for him and a few others who really endured some horrible baseball.

Probably some draft picks coming back... You mean prospect(s). In baseball, teams can't trade picks.

I think Maroth will be like Jamie Moyer. When he gets in his mid 30's. He will be a top 3 pitcher.

He bats left, 6'1" & 200 lbs currently hitting .325 for Springfield: www.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=Bryan%2520Anderson&pos=C&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=457762
